Blue Lace agate blue is like a baby blue shade with a dash of periwinkle blue and beautiful banding of soft white, indicative of agates. The faceted agate rondelles in this necklace are a chunky 9mm x 4-5mm. The color is completely natural the way it was found in nature!  This necklace is a combination of nice size 5mm gold-filled beads and clasp, pink Peruvian Opal spacers and tubes, a center cultured pearl and two green Pectolite found in Peru.  Summer “beachy”, winter “sweater” weather or any season this color blue is gorgeous.

A note about Pectolite

Green Pectolite as seen in this necklace is a mineral composed of, hydrous sodium calcium silicate.  It is known for being the mineral that forms the gemstone Larimar, which is a blue variety of Pectolite.  Larimar is the trade name for the rare blue variety of the silicate mineral Pectolite found only in the Dominican Republic. Green Pectolite is found in other countries, however, it exhibits the same patterning as Larimar (Blue Pectolite) and is just as beautiful especially to someone who loves to wear green.
